 This photograph, taken in 1936,
showing the south-west corner of the
boating lake in the Lake Pleasure Grounds
(Town Park), Weymouth Street, Warminster,
reminds us that the boathouse originally
had a wooden balcony on its eastern end,
complete with railings and a porch over
~ a feature that has long since been removed.
