The Hills Of Maiden Bradley

Writing in 1932, Victor Strode Manley, as part of his Regional Survey Of Warminster And District, wrote the following notes concerning Maiden Bradley:

The village hardly seems to come within the Warminster district except that its heights have always been in communication with ours. The most outstanding is Bidcombe (876 feet), whose crown is visible from a great distance over a large area. There is a conical and isolated hill resembling our Cley Hill, called Long Knoll (945 feet), with Little Knoll (930 feet), besides Brimsdon (933 feet).
