Communication By Rail And Road
From Paddington the main G. W. R. line reaches Westbury after a run of 95 miles (express under two hours), and changing there, Warminster is only 4 miles distant on the Bristol-Salisbury G. W. line. The continuation of this branch line connects the S. R. at Salisbury, 21 miles distant. Warminster is the focus of the following roads :-

Salisbury, via East Street, 21 miles.
Shaftesbury, via Weymouth Street (Town Hall) turning, 15 miles.
Westbury, via The Close turning, 4 miles.
Bath, 17 miles, and Frome, 7 miles, via the Obelisk.
