Believed To Be The First Ever Photograph Of Stockton Cricket Club

This is believed to be the first known photograph of Stockton Cricket Club and was taken circa 1923.

The club was founded in 1920 by Colonel Skeffington-Smythe, and the players came not only from Stockton but also neighbouring villages including Codford.

Pictured here, are:
Mr Trim (umpire), Jo Robbins, Stanley Parker, Norman Dewey, Bob Weare, Gilbert Gagen, Mr Burgess, My Symonds, George Nash, Frank Bartrum (secretary), Harry Cole (who took the photograph using a shutter delay), Rev. Meyrick, Colonel Skeffington-Smythe, Mr Davenport, Mr Bartrum (another umpire), Jo Day, Percy Collier, Fred Courtney, Eric Trim and William Nash.
